平成27年度文部科学省私立大学戦略的研究基盤形成支援事業
「トポロジカル・サイエンス」（代表・新田宗土）
に（2015年度～2019年度）に基づいて、下記の要領により
ポスドク１～２名の募集を行います。
月給は、社会保険も入れれば、最大で学振と同程度です。
通常のPDに加えて、海外PDの採用時期との差を考慮し、
半年契約も受け入れます。

１ 募集分野 物理学全般
トポロジーを用いて物理学の様々な分野の理論研究を行う。分野として以下を想定している。
基礎物理：超対称場の理論、格子場の理論、量子色力学、中性子星、素粒子現象論、宇宙論、弦理論など
物性物理：トポロジカル絶縁体/超伝導体/超流動体、冷却原子気体、量子乱流、
磁性体/スピントロニクス、光学、トポロジカル量子計算、統計力学など
その他： トポロジーを用いた物理学の研究であれば、この限りではない
＊ 採用後に取り組む意欲があれば、これまでトポロジーを用いた研究を行ってきたかどうかについては問わない。

（両キャンパスは徒歩１０分程度）
５ 職 位 発令上は「嘱託（非常勤）（自然科学研究教育センター）」
対外的には、ポスドク研究員
６ 採用予定日 2017年4月１日 または それより遅い日
７ 契約期間 半年～１年、
研究業績と事業の状況により最長2020年3月31日まで延長の可能性あり
契約は年度毎更新する
契約上、年度毎に半年以上の勤務期間が必要
（従って例えば、4月１日採用の場合、同年度9月30日までは退職不可能で

通勤手当は別途支給。福利厚生として、社保加入あり（勤務条件による）

Job Openings for Postdoctoral Positions in Physics
This document lists conditions specific to the postdoctoral positions
offered by the Research and Education Center for Natural Sciences at Keio
University. The positions are supported by the grant from the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)-Supported Program
for the Strategic Research Foundation at Private Universities "Topological
Science" (Principal Investigator: Muneto Nitta). The aim of this project is
to understand the physics underlying a wide range of phenomena, through the
common theme of topology.

1. Research Field: Physics
Research in various subjects areas within physics based on topology.
Expected areas of research are
Fundamental Physics: supersymmetric field theory, lattice field theory,
QCD, neutron stars,
high energy physics phenomenology, cosmology, string theory.
Condensed Matter Physics: topological
insulators/superconductors/superfluids,
ultracold atomic gases, quantum turbulence, magnets/spintronics, optics,
topological quantum computation, statistical physics
Other: Subject areas related to topology not included above.
* We do not require experiences of researches of physics using topology.
2. Number of Openings: One or Two
3. Affiliation: Research and Education Center for Natural Sciences at Keio
University
4. Place of Employment: Department of Physics at Hiyoshi Campus, Keio
University, or Theoretical Physics Laboratory, Department of Physics at
Yagami Campus, Keio University, both within ten minutes walking distance
of each other, in Yokohama, Japan.
5. Position: Postdoctoral researcher, employed as a staff (part-time) at
the Research and Education Center for Natural Sciences.
6. Work Start Date: April 1st, 2017 or later
7. Period of Employment: Initial appointment is one year or less, and may
maximally be extended to March 31st, 2020, depending on the research
accomplishments of the appointee and on the results of the midterm review
of the project.
Contract needs to be renewed every academic year, which starts on April
1st.
The appointee needs to work at least six months during the academic year
(April 1st to March 31st). (For instance, a researcher starting work on
April 1st needs to stay on this contract until Sep 30th, 2017, without
interruption.)
8. Work Hours: 26 hours, four days per a week.
9. Remuneration (Basic Salary and Benefits Package):
The basic salary will be maximally about 300,000 yen per month, determined
in accordance with the regulations of Keio University, with considerations
for qualifications, work experience, and achievements. Commuting allowance
is also paid.
The benefits package includes social insurance, employment insurance, and
health insurance.
10. Research fund: about 500,000 yen annually per researcher, depending on
the grant situation.

12. Job Description:
(1) Perform research in physics based on topology
(2) Organize international conferences, seminars, and/or maintain
workstation clusters.
(3) Attend seminars and other research activities held within the research
group.
